Nardo Delivers Clutch At-Bat for Marquette in Walk-Off Win
Marquette Miners starter Gerald Bolton turned in a sterling performance against the Irving Blue Sox, leading his team to a slim 3-2 win. Devin Gaines picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 1-0. John Vaillancourt was tagged with the loss. Marquette is now 12-16, while Irving is 16-12.

Marquette won the game in the bottom of the 11th inning. With one out and John Vaillancourt on the mound for Irving, right fielder Howard Nardo hit a dramatic solo home run, bringing Miners fans to their feet.

"It was a solid team effort," said Nardo after the game.
