Late Rally by Sixshooters Secures Win
|
The Westwood Sixshooters defeated the Irving Blue Sox, 5-3, in USSL Double A action at Sixshooters Stadium, with Westwood pitcher Ray Mangas named player of the game. Westwood bumps their record to 13-11 with the win.
A crucial at-bat came with a runner on 1st and no one out in the bottom of the eighth inning. That's when shortstop Jesús Ruano, who is rated as the 17th best prospect by BNN, hit a single. The Sixshooters went on to win.
Mangas expressed little emotion after the game. "Every game we win now," he said, "is one less win we'll need to get in the end."
