Seawolves Win, Hope to Turn Around Slow Start
|
Starting pitcher Winston Wenham pitched well enough to help the Long Island Seawolves beat the Marquette Miners by the score of 8-7. Fernando Júlio earned the save, his 1st, for the Seawolves. The Seawolves have stumbled out of the gate, getting only their 2nd win in 8 games.
Júlio Flores, who is rated as the 96th best prospect by BNN, aided the Long Island cause with a run-scoring ground out in the top of the fifth. For the game, the designated hitter was 1 for 4.
"We were able to get some things going offensively," said Flores.
