BC Get Win, Hope to Turn Around Slow Start
|
The San Antonio BC defeated the Ottawa Nationals, 5-3, in M3L Double A action at San Antonio Field, with San Antonio pitcher Derek Holbrook named player of the game. Holbrook went 8 innings to notch the win. He scattered 6 hits, walked 4, and struck out 3. His record improves to 1-0. San Antonio is still hoping to get on a roll. The win is just their 1st in 4 games.
Rodolphe Nairn drove in one run for San Antonio. In the bottom of the seventh, with the teams deadlocked, 3-3, Nairn delivered for the BC. His run-scoring sacrifice fly put San Antonio on top, 4-3.
Nairn told a San Antonio Daily News reporter that he was "satisfied" with the win.
