Grasshoppers Lose, 5-2, at Atoms Field
The Bethesda Atoms picked up a win at Atoms Field, knocking off the San Bernardino Grasshoppers, 5-2. Starting pitcher Vincent O'Higgin, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason why. O'Higgin got the win, improving to 1-0. He allowed 6 hits and walked 2 over 6.1 innings. O'Higgin allowed 2 earned runs. Manny Hernández earned the save for Bethesda, his 2nd of the year.

Diego Romero aided the Bethesda cause with a 2-run double in the bottom of the seventh. For the game, the right fielder was 2-4 with a double. He drove in 2 runs.

"We'll enjoy this win," said O'Higgin. "But there's more we hope to accomplish."

Bethesda, now 2-1, has played well in the early going.
