Dodos Use Late-Game Magic to Beat Flyers
|
The Hialeah Dodos picked up a win at Pennsauken Park, knocking off the Pennsauken Flyers, 8-4. Starting pitcher Ralph Haggerty was an essential part of his team's success. Haggerty picked up the win for Hialeah, going 7 innings. He gave up 4 runs on 8 hits. He now sports a record of 1-1. Hialeah occupies 9th place in the Menard's AAA at 42-55.
A crucial at-bat came with a runner on 1st and no one out in the top of the eighth inning. That's when pinch hitter Kendrick Sullivan hit a triple. The Dodos went on to win.
"We came out aggressive," said Dodos manager Kyle Besley. "We came out swinging the bats."
