Sunset District and Florida duked it out at Psychos Ballpark and the Fog came out victorious.
The Sunset District Fog topped the Florida Men by the score of 9-6, with the biggest share of the credit going to center fielder Tim O'Neal. O'Neal was 2 for 4 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2 for the Fog on the day. Larry Strozier got the win, improving to 8-6. He worked 6.1 innings, giving up 4 runs on 3 hits, while striking out 5 and walking 0. Kendarian Handy-Holly saved it for Sunset District.
In the top of the second, José Vargas hit a bases-clearing double for Sunset District. The 9th double of the season for the Sunset District catcher put the Fog on top, 6-3.
"We took advantage of our opportunities," Vargas told the Sunset District Herald. "It's as simple as that."
Sunset District has now won 5 games in a row.
