The Red Pandas had to overcome a good performance from Florida pitcher Robert Cagle to claim a 2-1 win at Psychos Ballpark. Cagle went 6 innings and allowed 1 earned run. Joe Kehoe, credited with the win, is now 1-0. He allowed no runs on 1 hit in 3.1 innings. Sioux Falls, at 41-38, sits in 6th place in the Menard's AAA.
Travis Newsome made it 2-1 in favor of Sioux Falls when he delivered a run-scoring single. It came with one out in the top of the ninth. The Red Pandas went on to win.
"I really like what we did out there today," Newsome said after the game.
