Pennsauken and Houston got after it at Pennsauken Park.
Behind a solid performance from center fielder Bartolo Rosas, the Pennsauken Flyers defeated the Houston BC, 9-4. Rosas was 2 for 5 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 runs and drove in 4 for the Flyers. Augusto Ramos, who went 6 innings, was the winning pitcher. He was charged with 2 runs on 3 hits, while walking 2 and striking out 9. His record now stands at 5-1.
Juan Torres, who is tied for 7th in the 3AAA with a .407 on-base percentage, aided the Pennsauken cause with a run-scoring hit-by-pitch in the bottom of the fourth. For the game, the right fielder was 1-4 with a hit by pitch.
"We'll put this win in our pocket and go after the next one," said Rosas.
Pennsauken, at 48-28, sits in first place in the Menard's AAA.
