Tight Tilt Goes to BC, 3-2
|
The Houston BC did just enough to sneak past the Brinkley Belugas, 3-2, at Houston Park. Houston pitcher Bobby Roode earned player of the game honors. Houston, at 29-44, occupies 10th place in the Menard's AAA.
Padova, Italy-born Noël Sassetti came through in the clutch. In the bottom of the fourth, with the bases loaded and the BC trailing 1-0, he hit a 2-run single to left to put Houston on top.
Roode called the win "a collective effort."
