Multi-HR Day for Rico as Fog Overpower Red Pandas, 4-2
|
Riding the 2-hit performance of the 26-year old first baseman José Rico, the Sunset District Fog stopped the Sioux Falls Red Pandas, 4-2. The save was credited to Brian Walker, his 2nd. The Fog now have a record of 44-26 with the win over Sioux Falls.
Rico came through with some timely hitting for Sunset District. With the score 1-1 in the bottom of the third and one down, Rico hit a 3-0 fastball for a solo home run. His 12th home run of the season made it 2-1, Sunset District.
"We've got a great group of guys," Rico said, "and we're having fun right now."
