Red Pandas Edge Past Coyotes, 6-5

Fans who gathered at Coyote Wildlife Refuge saw a good contest between the Sioux Falls Red Pandas and Hamilton Coyotes.
The Hamilton Coyotes got a superb performance from pitcher Carlos Domínguez. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Sioux Falls. The Red Pandas won the game, 6-5. In spite of the loss, Domínguez was named the player of the game. He came in in relief and pitched to 17 batters . Sioux Falls reliever Valentín Montenegro picked up the win, upping his record to 3-0. Noburo Oishi shouldered the loss.
This game was not decided until late. With two out in the top of the ninth, Magali Lenidas drew a walk, driving in 1 run. The Red Pandas took the lead, 6-5.
"We'll relax tonight and get back after it tomorrow," Lenidas said after the game.
The Coyotes, at 20-49, have lost 5 straight games.
