Red Pandas Sneak Past Flyers, 3-2

The Pennsauken Flyers got a superb performance from pitcher Leslie Brooks, but the Sioux Falls Red Pandas still won the game, 3-2. Brooks was named the player of the game despite the loss. He threw 8 innings of 7-hit ball. Danial Apodaca picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 1-0. Leslie Brooks was tagged with the loss. The Flyers, now 37-24, have lost 4 in a row.
Had Dave Morris not delivered a key base hit in the top of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 1st, Morris hit a 2-run home run. That made the score 3-2, in favor of the Red Pandas.
"Baseball is about momentum," said Morris, "and we feel we've got it in our favor after that win."
