Lake Monsters Dispose of Red Pandas, 10-1
|
The Vermont Lake Monsters topped the Sioux Falls Red Pandas by the score of 10-1, with the largest share of the credit going to shortstop Ramón Degollado. Degollado was 4-5 with a double and 3 singles, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once for the Lake Monsters. Mike Brandner was the winner. Over 6.1 innings, he allowed 1 run on 7 hits, with 3 walks and 4 strikeouts. Vermont is now 26-34.
With Vermont leading 3-1 in the bottom of the second, Degollado hit a splitter from Héctor Alarcon for a 2-run double. It was his 23rd double of the season and put the Lake Monsters ahead, 5-1.
