Dodos Beat Red Pandas in 10
|
The bats were silent much of the day at The Bamboo Forest. But Clarence Weber conjured up just enough offense to carry the Dodos past the Sioux Falls Red Pandas, 3-2. Weber was 3 for 4 with a double and 2 singles. Hialeah reliever Aurelio Ornelas picked up the win, upping his record to 2-0. Pedro Pacheco took the loss. Hialeah has now won 3 straight, while the Red Pandas have lost 3 in a row.
Zander Bailey had the most critical at-bat for Hialeah. With one in the top of the tenth inning, Bailey hit a 2-2 changeup from Pedro Pacheco for a run-scoring single. It put Hialeah in front, 3-2.
"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Weber told the Hialeah Gazette.
