Victory Pushes Flyers Record to 34-19
|
Behind a solid performance from second baseman José Rodríguez, the Pennsauken Flyers defeated the Vermont Lake Monsters, 3-0. Rodríguez was 2-4 with a home run and was hit by a pitch, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for the Flyers. Pennsauken reliever Seong-rae Park picked up the win, upping his record to 5-0. Washington Scarpenti shouldered the loss. The Flyers own a robust 34-19 mark.
Pennsauken first baseman Alan Bryan contributed to the cause with a single in the top of the third. For the game, Bryan went 1 for 5.
"We'll pop the top on a cold one and get back to work tomorrow," Rodríguez said.
