Brinkley right-hander Dahab Kanda made an effective start against the Sunset District Fog at Fog Park, leading his team to a 6-1 win. The winning pitcher was Kanda, now 1-0. He tossed 7.2 innings of 4-hit ball, while walking 1 and fanning 5. Weston Fisher earned the save, his 1st, for the Belugas.
Jouo Hirschovits helped out the Brinkley cause in the top of the fourth inning with a run-scoring sacrifice fly. For the game, the center fielder was 1 for 2 with a double and a walk, while adding 2 RBI.
