Ward Dazzles in Alaskan Win
|
Jack Ward never let the Great Lakers get in a groove. The right-hander used his bread and butter, his splitter, to pitch the Humpbacks to a 5-0 win. The Humpbacks' win now puts them at 28-22.
Ward earned the win, going 8 strong innings for Alaskan. The native of Lewiston, Idaho allowed just 1 hit, while striking out 10. Pure Michigan hitters did next to nothing against the right-hander.
"I tried to mix it up, keep them off balance," said Ward.
