Middendorf Hits 2 home runs in Red Pandas Win
|
The Sioux Falls Red Pandas bested the Pure Michigan Great Lakers, 9-4, at The Bamboo Forest. Vito Middendorf was named player of the game. He hit 2 home runs, while adding 5 RBI and scoring twice. Luis Torrez earned the win for Sioux Falls. He lasted 5.1 innings, allowing no earned runs on 2 hits, while striking out 2. With the win, he raised his record to 2-1. Sioux Falls occupies 4th place in the Menard's AAA at 25-19.
Middendorf had a key at-bat for Sioux Falls early in the game. With runners on 1st and 2nd, he hit a 3-run home run. It was his 6th home run of the season and gave Sioux Falls an early 3-0 lead.
"We'll relax tonight and get back after it tomorrow," Middendorf said after the game.
