Red Pandas Prevail, 4-3, Over Hialeah

The Sioux Falls Red Pandas did just enough to sneak past the Hialeah Dodos, 4-3, at The Bamboo Forest. Sioux Falls pitcher Luis Torrez earned player of the game honors. Torrez, the winner, moves to 1-1. He threw 6.1 innings of 3-hit ball, while fanning 1 and giving up 3 walks. Sioux Falls is now 18-16.
Greg Robinson aided the Sioux Falls cause with a 2-run triple in the bottom of the fifth. For the game, the center fielder was 2 for 3 with a home run and a triple. He drove in 3 runs and scored once.
"I just trusted my stuff," said Torrez.
