Victory Pushes Great Lakers Record to 12-9
The Pure Michigan Great Lakers faced a tough opponent in Houston pitcher Brad Cunnick, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Lansing Park by a final score of 2-1. Cunnick went 8 innings and allowed 2 earned runs. The win was credited to Lyle Lanley in relief. His record improves to 3-0. Brad Cunnick took the loss. Andrei-Luiz Frial closed the game out for Pure Michigan, earning his 6th save.

The Great Lakers got a big at-bat from shortstop Hamilton Swan. For the game, Swan went 1-3 with a triple. In the bottom of the seventh, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring triple. His 1st triple of the season gave Pure Michigan a 2-1 lead.

"We put it together today and came out with the win," Swan said in postgame remarks. "That's the main thing."
