Augusta Timber Hawks starter Gary Barber turned in a top-notch performance against the Pennsauken Flyers at Pennsauken Park. The result was a win for the Timber Hawks, 6-2. Barber picked up the win for Augusta, going 6.1 innings. He gave up 1 run on 3 hits. He now sports a record of 1-3. The Flyers fall to 6-8 and continue their unimpressive start to the 2031 season.
The Timber Hawks got a big at-bat from designated hitter Emmanuele Lucchetti. For the game, Lucchetti was 1 for 4. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the top of the fifth, with runners on 2nd and 3rd, he stroked a 2-run single. His 11th hit of the season gave Augusta a 3-1 lead.
