Flyers Edge Dodos, 6-5
|
Pennsauken beat Hialeah at Pennsauken Park, eking out a 6-5 win. The win was due in large part to pitcher Luis Torrez, who earned player of the game honors. With the win, Pennsauken pushes its record to 5-7.
The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the 13th inning, when Pennsauken left fielder Juan Torres, facing Cisco Ortíz, had a run-scoring double. It gave the Flyers the 6-5 win.
"We can always improve and get better, but we're feeling pretty confident after that win," said Torres.
