Vancouver No Match for Franco
The Boston Patriots did little to support starter Jesús Franco against the Vancouver Grey Wolves, but it turned out he didn't need the help.

The left-hander spun a complete game shutout against the Grey Wolves, striking out 5 and surrendering 4 hits. The performance from Franco allowed Boston to escape with the 2-0 win despite an anemic offense.

"Nobody came to me and said 'Jesús, we're gonna need you to win this one for us today,' but I could feel it," Franco told BNN reporters following the win. "I'm the guy that will step up for you when you need it."

In the current season in 6 starts, Jesús Franco has a record of 2-3 with 20 strikeouts in 41.2 innings and a 4.54 ERA.
