Namajunas Excels, Montana Blows Out Kingston Township
|
Montana played host to Kingston Township at the friendly confines of Panda Park.
The Montana Pandas clobbered the Kingston Township Legion, 14-3, at Panda Park today. Montana center fielder Logan Namajunas was named player of the game for his productive day. He went 3 for 5 with a double and 2 singles, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 4. Montana starter Armando Marrero was credited with the win after throwing 90 pitches over 5 innings. His record now stands at 1-0.
Terrence Eler, who is tied for 10th in the 3L in home runs with 5, chipped in for Montana with a 3-run home run in the bottom of the third. For the game, the designated hitter had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 3 RBI.
"It was a solid team effort and we'll try to keep this momentum going," Eler told reporters after the game.
