Hotspur Drop Another One
|
The Panama City Piranhas beat the Phoenix Hotspur, 6-4, at The Tank. The win was largely due to the efforts of first baseman Baldomero Avino, who captured player of the game honors. He was 2-4 with a home run and a walk. Phoenix's current losing streak is now 5 games.
Panama City grabbed control in the bottom of the seventh. With no one out and runners on 1st and 2nd, Ricardo Collazo delivered a run-scoring single, to make it 5-4 in favor of the Piranhas.
"Everyone's trying too hard," said losing manager Michael Esposito. "If we learn to relax, we'll be fine."
