Boston and Northern Virginia duked it out at Atlantica and the Patriots came out victorious.

Piotr Oja never let the Rainbow Mermaids get in a groove. The left-hander used his bread and butter, his slider, to pitch the Patriots to a 3-0 win. José Sánchez closed the game out for Boston, earning his 1st save.

Omer Yurtseven made it 3-0 in favor of Boston when he delivered a 3-run home run. It came with one out in the top of the eighth. The Patriots went on to win.

"Baseball is about momentum," said Oja, "and we feel we've got it in our favor after that win."

The winning streak has now reached 5 games for Boston.
