The Kingston Township Legion wasted an inspired, 8.1-inning effort from starter Manny Castro, falling 2-1 to the Chicago Hawks at Hawks Ballpark. Chicago has now won 3 straight, while the Legion have lost 3 in a row.
Reg Spiers had the critical at-bat for Chicago. With no one out in the bottom of the tenth inning, he hit a walk-off run-scoring single. It gave Chicago the 2-1 walk-off win.
"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Spiers told the Chicago Chronicle.
