Lakers Bridle 1837 BBC, 3-1
|
The Echo Park Lakers faced a tough opponent in Houston pitcher Nicolas Roche, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Rangers Stadium by a final score of 3-1. Roche went 5.1 innings and allowed 3 earned runs. Júlio Saldaña, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 1st save. The Lakers, with just their 6th win so far in 2031, have yet to catch fire.
One of the key players for the Lakers was third baseman Guillermo Coss, who drilled a run-scoring double in the bottom of the third inning. For the game, Coss went 2 for 4 with a double.
"It takes a lot of things to win a ballgame," said Echo Park manager Jordan Calhoun. "It's usually not just one thing."
