Castro Delivers Clutch At-Bat for Boston in Walk-Off Win
Boston beat Ft. Worth at Dunkin Donuts Park, eking out a 7-6 win. The win was due in large part to designated hitter Melvin Castro, who earned player of the game honors. José Sánchez, credited with the win, is now 1-0. He allowed no runs on 1 hit in 1 innings. Boston occupies last place in the Premier League at 8-15.

Castro had a game-changing single in the bottom of the ninth. On a full count fastball from Pedro Ortíz, he banged a run-scoring single to center, giving the Patriots a 7-6 lead. It was the 18th hit of the year for Castro.

"We cashed in when we had the chance," said Boston manager Tyler Carter.
