Bowties Lose to Voodoo, 5-1
|
The New Orleans Voodoo went home winners at 5 Paces Park, thanks in large part to starter Myles Wilkerson. Wilkerson silenced the Buckhead Bowties, enabling New Orleans to grab the 5-1 win. Wilkerson went 7.2 innings to notch the win. He scattered 8 hits, walked 2, and struck out 3. His record improves to 1-0. New Orleans is still hoping to get on a roll. The win is just their 1st in 3 games.
One critical moment came in the bottom of the first, when New Orleans bent under pressure but did not break. The score was 3-0, New Orleans, with two out. Buckhead had the bases loaded. Yataro Kodo had a chance to deliver a clutch base hit, but instead grounded out on a 0-1 fastball.
