The Portland Evergreens faced a tough opponent in Northern Virginia pitcher Ramón Molina, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Atlantica by a final score of 2-1. Molina went 6.1 innings and allowed 2 earned runs. Yoo-chul Mun was the winner. Over 5.2 innings, he allowed 1 run on 4 hits, with 3 walks and 3 strikeouts. Júlio Rodríguez closed it out for his 3rd save.
Portland grabbed control in the top of the sixth. With one out and the bases empty, John Ennis delivered a solo home run, to make it 2-1 in favor of the Evergreens.
"We played a good game and came out on top," said Ennis.
Portland leads the Premier League by 3 games.
