Chikafuji goes 3-for-5, Flamingos Move to 63-40
The Las Vegas Flamingos stopped the Grafton Middies, 11-5, at Field of the Middies. The Flamingos got a big game from Kunimichi Chikafuji, who went 3-5 with a home run and a double. He scored 3 times and drove in 4. Juan Cardenas was the winning pitcher. Over 7 innings, he allowed 2 runs on 5 hits, with 4 walks and 4 strikeouts. The Flamingos have an impressive 63-40 record.

Chikafuji had a game-changing home run in the top of the sixth. On a 0-1 cutter from Truman Valentine, he banged a 3-run home run to right, giving the Flamingos a 5-2 lead. It was the 1st home run of the year for Chikafuji.
