Dominant Performance by Tugwell in Philadelphia 1776 Win
|
Bill Tugwell never let the Stingers get in a groove. The right-hander used his bread and butter, his forkball, to pitch the BC to a 5-0 win. The Stingers, at 62-41, have lost 4 in a row.
The Stingers had trouble solving Tugwell, who surrendered no earned runs on 2 hits over 8.1 innings.
"We were the better team today. Maybe that won't be the case next game, but we'll enjoy it for now," Tugwell told the Philadelphia 1776 Daily News.
