Big Day at the Plate for Hendriksen Not Enough for Dodgers
|
Brooklyn first baseman Yannick Hendriksen had a good game in a losing cause. His team fell, 4-2, to Ft. Worth at The Cattle Pen. Hendriksen was 3-3 with 2 home runs and 2 walks. Ft. Worth reliever Roberto Cavazos was credited with the win, to go to 1-1. Addie Samson took the loss for Brooklyn. Asher Spivey recorded his 4th save for Ft. Worth.
Ft. Worth first baseman Bart Lewis contributed to the cause with a run-scoring double in the bottom of the third. For the game, Lewis was 2 for 4 with a double, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.
"If you pitch well, you give yourself some opportunities," said Ft. Worth manager Scott Thompson.
The Dodgers fall to 9-12 and continue their lackluster start to the 2031 season.
