Las Vegas Hot Streak Continues with 5-4 Win
|
Las Vegas beat Wizarding at Platform 9 3/4, eking out a 5-4 win. The win was due in large part to designated hitter Victor Adams, who earned player of the game honors. Cris Herrera sewed up the save, his 7th. The Flamingos, at 58-36, have now won 7 straight.
Adams contributed a big hit, a 2-run home run, for Las Vegas in the top of the third. With his team trailing 2-1, Adams took a fastball from Juan Contreras and stroked the home run to right. His 6th home run of the season allowed the Flamingos to leap in front, 3-2.
"I'll probably toss and turn tonight," Wizarding manager Dan Cahill said following the tough loss.
