"I got some good pitches to hit and turned on them real good," he told reporters in the postgame interview. "I have always liked to hit at Asheville Park." For the day, Hillier collected 3 hits in 4 at-bats, scored 3 runs and had 3 RBIs. "He was instant offense today," Asheville skipper Richard Weaver said. "Robert really put on a show." Robert Hillier hit a solo-shot off Barney Starr in the 2nd, struck out in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off Barney Starr in the 6th and hit a solo-shot off Bart Gresham in the 8th. Hillier is hitting .262 this year with 10 home runs and 26 RBIs. He also has an OBP of .337, 12 walks and scored 24 times. |
