Screaming Eagles, Lustig Blank Minnesota Thursday, July 4th, 2030 Victor Lustig of the Mercer Island Screaming Eagles spun his magic on the Minnesota Loons today. He blanked them 9-0 on 6 hits, registering 8 strikeouts and 2 walks. "The bottom line was I just kept the ball down," Lustig said. "My breaking stuff was down. Everything was down." Talking to reporters in the postgame interview, Mercer Island skipper Jared Gilbert said the team "got solid pitching, good defense and took great team at-bats in a lot of different situations." "Victor pitched really well but this was a solid performance by everyone," he said. So far this year Lustig has made 10 starts, tossed 71.2 innings, struck out 63 batters and walked 28.
