SAA's Top Player Named Monday, September 16th, 2030 19-year-old César Gómes made a few Springfield headlines during this past week as the rookie center fielder proved he could compete at the plate with his high-school idols. He captured the attention of fans, journalists and USSL Double A officials last week and today took home Player of the Week honors for his effort. He cracked 4 hits in 7 at-bats to put up a .571 average. Gómes collected 2 home runs, 5 RBIs and scored 4 runs. This season Gómes is batting .333 with 118 hits, 17 home runs, 60 RBIs, .389 OBP and has scored 60 runs. |
