Megarity and Valverde Brawl, League Suspends Them Monday, June 24th, 2030 After an intense confrontation, both the Shooters Fletcher Megarity and the Misfits Lorenzo Valverde were handed their punishments today. The league commissioner's office issued suspensions for an on-the-field conflict that occurred at a recent Springfield-Salem game. Both players will miss 7 games as a result of their actions. "Sometimes we go too far and have to pay the consequences," Fletcher Megarity commented later. "Hopefully cooler heads will prevail the next time we play." Megarity is hitting .247 this year with 3 home runs and 18 RBIs. He also has an OBP of .322, 14 walks and scored 24 times. To date this year, Valverde shows a 3-3 record, 9 starts, 50.1 innings, 43 strikeouts and a 5.72 ERA. |
