McCool Earns 3AA Player of the Week Monday, August 12th, 2030 It can be difficult for a young player to step out of the shadows and assert himself in the M3L Double A, but last week Lane McCool of the Virginia Beach Deuces reminded everyone just why he's here as he threw up numbers that made him an easy selection for Player of the Week. McCool rocked opposing pitching for a .571 average (8-for-14), 1 home run and 6 RBIs to come away with the award. This season McCool is swinging the bat at a .231 pace. He has hit 5 home runs and scored 14 times, while driving in 24. His on-base percentage is .320 and he has played in 45 games. |
