Hayes Zeroes In On Calgary Friday, August 9th, 2030 The Calgary Lynx were almost helpless today in their 1-0 loss to the Naperville Battlekings and hurler Chris Hayes. Hayes kept the Lynx confused all game, spinning a 7-hit shutout. "Tip your hat to Hayes," Calgary manager Ricardo Betancourt said in his postgame interview. "He kept us off balance all night." The 29-year-old right-hander had 4 walks and 7 strikeouts in a strong performance. "It just happened to be one of those games where even when I made mistakes, they either fouled them off or someone would make a fine defensive play," Hayes said.
