Cruz Touches All the Bases, Hits for Cycle Friday, July 5th, 2030 Salt Lake City's Vicente Cruz accomplished what few others have done -- he hit for the cycle, collecting a single, double, triple and home run in the same game. For the day, Cruz finished 4-for-6 with 4 RBI and 2 runs scored and helped the Buzz knock off the Plymouth Rocks 11-1 at Plymouth Quarry. "I didn't even know I was about to hit for the cycle until after," Cruz told reporters following the game. "One of the guys mentioned it when I got back to the dugout." Vicente Cruz struck out in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Allen Blair in the 3rd, flied out in the 4th, doubled in the 7th, hit an RBI triple in the 8th and hit a two-run single in the 9th.
