Oakland's Chávez to Miss Season
Sunday, September 22nd, 2030
The news is bad in Oakland. The Oaks have lost the services of starting pitcher Francisco Chávez for the rest of the season due to a torn ulnar collateral ligament. Chávez was injured in a recent game with the Seattle Aviators while throwing a pitch and is expected to miss 10-11 months.

So far this year Chávez has made 14 starts, tossed 83.1 innings, struck out 82 batters and walked 34. His record is 4-4 with a 4.43 ERA and he has limited opposing teams to a .238 batting average.
