Oakland's Chávez to Miss Season Sunday, September 22nd, 2030 The news is bad in Oakland. The Oaks have lost the services of starting pitcher Francisco Chávez for the rest of the season due to a torn ulnar collateral ligament. Chávez was injured in a recent game with the Seattle Aviators while throwing a pitch and is expected to miss 10-11 months.
