Roa Rips Rocky Mountain for 5 Hits
Saturday, September 21st, 2030
Marcos Roa put on a hitting clinic today as the Ft. Worth Cattlemen dumped the Rocky Mountain Nuggets 5-4 at The Cattle Pen.
The Ft. Worth first baseman made Rocky Mountain defenders earn their pay, lashing Rocky Mountain pitching for 5 hits in 5 at-bats in the game. He told BNN reporters after the game that his strategy was "just hit it where they pitched it."
"Too often I try too hard to pull the ball," Roa said in his postgame press conference. "Today, I just went with the pitch."
Marcos Roa singled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, hit a two-run double in the 6th, singled in the 8th and hit an RBI single in the 9th.
Roa is hitting .270 this year with 16 home runs and 63 RBIs. He also has an OBP of .325, 29 walks and scored 39 times.
