Bruins Porter August's #1 Pitcher Sunday, September 1st, 2030 Last month's cream of the crop on the mound was Jeff Porter of the Bellevue Bruins. He captured the USSL Single A Pitcher of the Month award for his outstanding performance in August. Porter started 6 games, threw 47 innings, yielded 37 hits and logged a 4-2 record. He put down 47 batters on strikes, walked 5 and compiled a 1.34 ERA. Opposing teams batted .216 against him. Thus far this season Porter has posted a 9-7 record, started 23 games, struck out 139 batters in 144 innings and compiled a 3.38 ERA. |
