Express Get Close Win Over Middies

Grafton got a terrific performance from pitcher Daniel Martínez, but it wasn't enough to beat the Wizarding Express. Wizarding won the Platform 9 3/4 contest, 4-3. Martínez was the player of the game despite being on the losing side. He threw 7 innings of 3-hit ball. The win was credited to Dorian Daly in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Kenete Daku took the loss. Wizarding is now 24-20. Grafton is 26-18.
Wizarding won the game in the bottom of the ninth inning. With one out and Kenete Daku on the mound for Grafton, second baseman Frank Grimes hit a dramatic 3-run home run, bringing Express fans to their feet.
"We did enough to win," said Grimes.
