Evergreens Lose, 5-1, at Nuggets Park
|
Nathaniel Riley never let Portland get something going. The Rocky Mountain right-hander commanded his change up in pitching the Nuggets to a 5-1 win. Earning his 1st save of the year was Will Moore. Rocky Mountain is 21-20 and Portland, with the loss, 27-14.
Rocky Mountain took the lead in the bottom of the sixth. With no one out and the bases loaded, Roberto Sánchez stroked a run-scoring single to make it 2-1, Nuggets.
"We can always improve and get better, but we're feeling pretty confident after that win," said Riley.
