Almost There: Phoenix On Cusp of R2031 Triumph After 2-0 Win
|
In a pivotal Game , the Phoenix Hotspur were hoping for a big game from starter Miguel Rubia. They got one.
The right-hander shut out the Panama City Piranhas, proving to be the difference-maker as he led his club to a 2-0 victory. The Hotspur took the 2-0 win over the Panama City Piranhas to seize a - lead in the best-of- series.
Rubia was in the zone all game. He frustrated Panama City hitters while giving the Hotspur 8.1 innings of quality work. Rubia threw 103 pitches, allowing 4 hits and getting 7 punchouts.
"We put it together today and came out with the win," Rubia said in postgame remarks. "That's the main thing."
Game 7 is set to be played Tuesday, October 22nd, 2030 at The Tank. Slated to start are Alejandro Guerra for Phoenix and Robinson Suárez for Panama City.
