Almost There: Ft. Worth On Cusp of R2031 Triumph After 4-3 Win

Wizarding shortstop José Corona pounded Ft. Worth Cattlemen pitchers at The Cattle Pen, but it was not enough to keep the Express from falling, 4-3 in Game of the Round 2031. Corona went 4 for 4 with a home run, a double, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 2 and was named player of the game for his efforts, even as he saw the Express slip to a - deficit in the best-of- series.
Ft. Worth took a 4-3 lead in the bottom of the seventh inning. With one out, pinch hitter Tim Burney hit a 2-run home run that set the crowd abuzz.
"We put it together today and came out with the win," Burney said in postgame remarks. "That's the main thing."
